Barbour Silver Co. appears to have been a marketing company for I J Stearnes & Company of their silver-plated goods started by Samuel and Charles Barbour in the late 19th century in New Haven, Connecticut. It was originally called Barbour Brothers Company, located at 64 Market St. in New Haven. By 1892 the company was renamed Barbour Silver Company, but by 1898 it was purchased by the International silver company.
